How to score a match
- Enter the team names, the overs and wickets per side, and who bats first. Then press Start match.
- After each ball, tap what happened: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 6. The score, run rate and over update straight away.
- For a wide, no-ball, bye or leg bye, tap Extras, then the type. If runs were taken off it, tap the runs first.
- For a wicket, tap OUT, then how the batter was out. A run out can include runs completed before it.
- Tapped the wrong button? Undo reverses the last ball completely: runs, extras, wicket and the ball count.
- At the end of an over, innings or match, share the scorecard as an image to WhatsApp or save it to your phone.
Rules the scorer follows
- An over is six legal balls. Wides and no-balls don’t count as balls, so the over carries on until six legal balls are bowled.
- A wide or no-ball is worth one run plus any runs taken. Some gully games give no run for them; choose that under More options.
- Byes and leg byes count as balls. Runs off a no-ball are the batter’s.
- Off a wide, a batter can only be stumped, run out or out hit wicket; off a no-ball, only run out. The scorer won’t record anything else.
- The innings ends when the overs run out, the wickets are all gone or, in a chase, the target is reached. You can also end an innings early from the menu.
- The chasing side wins by the wickets it has left; the side batting first wins by the runs the chase fell short. Equal scores are a tie.
Your match stays on your phone
There is no account and no server storage. The match is saved only in this browser, so you can close the page or lose signal and carry on where you left off. Scorecard images are drawn on your phone and are only sent where you choose to share them. To see whether the scorer is being used, we count anonymous milestones such as matches started and finished; team names and scores are never sent.
